This video is look at how The Beatles’ sound influenced the sound of ELO, particularly Jeff Lynne’s. It features quotes from Lynne over the years, including a hard denial: “copying the Beatles… It was bulls**t.” We also take a closer look at John Lennon’s 1974 thoughts on ELO’s “Showdown” (Walrus!) and ELO’s influences from Del Shannon, Roy Orbison, and Chuck Berry.
