The Stylistics released their third studio album under the Hugo & Luigi label in 1977, named Sun & Soul. After leaving Avco Records the Stylistics became less popular in the United States, however began gaining popularity in Europe, especially the United Kingdom with their easy listening sound. The two singles of this album are “Shame and Scandal in the Family”, and “$7,000 and You” which both have tropical drum beats and the signature high octave Stylistics vocals.
