E.T: The Extra Terrestrial is not just a great family adventure that has been passed on through multiple generations -- the Steven Spielberg classic is FULL of Easter Eggs and small moments that are easy to miss -- especially if you’re wiping some tears away. Take an incredible journey down memory lane as we discover the hidden connections!
Some of the favorite easter eggs have to do with the authentic design showcased in Elliot’s bedroom. We really dug deep to showcase some of the Easter Eggs that were not as obvious! Steven Spielberg really pays attention to the details -- so much so, that we’re surprised a small little goof got by during the climax of the movie. When Elliot and E.T. share their goodbyes -- E.T’s finger rises up to Elliot -- but in the cutaway shot, suddenly his hand has switched from the right hand to the left. Well, it was supposed to be the left hand the whole time, but the weird angle of the shots made this one confusing.
We were inspired to make this video by the new Holiday Commercial from Xfinity about E.T. In it, E.T. reunites with Elliott who now has a family of his own.
