Scarecrow sung by the Columbus Gay Men's Chorus

Scarecrow sung by the Columbus Gay Men's Chorus This song is from Act 2 of the Stonewall 50 Concert by the Columbus Gay Men's Chorus which chronicled the queer rights movement before and after the stonewall riots.

Scarecrow is a ballad from Melissa Etheridge that tells the story of the kidnapping, torture, and homicide of 21-year-old University of Wyoming student Matthew Shepard, motivated by ant-gay sentiment. The image of a scarecrow was chosen because the bicyclist who found Matthew Shepard, tied to a fence, first thought he was a scarecrow.
