Finnegan Goes Cruising (7 months 2 weeks) | What Fig Did

Finnegan Goes Cruising (7 months 2 weeks) | What Fig Did Here's what Finnegan did last Thursday (June 6th, 2019). He finally mastered the art of cruising (ie. walking using furniture as a support) and it's amazing! To see him moving and grooving, after everything that went down with his birth, is so so so gratifying! Also some helmet-rejections, machine-gun miming, read-alongs, and a very careful pedicure.

► Who's the baby?
That's Finnegan Fraser, but his friends call him Fig. He was born 7 weeks premature with chronic lung disease and congenital dislocations in his hips, knees and elbows. After a 2 month stay in the NICU, he finally came home and began the life chronicled in this channel. Despite his challenges his life is still super fun, and I like to think that he’s better for it.

► Who's the guy?
That's Emmett Fraser! He used to be a video producer and editor, but now he's a stay-at-home dad. Naturally, he produces videos of his stay-at-home dadding and edits them.

► Why Fig not Finn?
There are too many Finns in the world and not enough Figs.

► How old is Finnegan? The numbers don’t match up with his birthday.
Because Fig was a preemie, he kind of has two birthdays! First, his actual one (September 2nd, 2018), and second, his due date (October 20th, 2018). For all his developmental milestones like when he should start crawling, or talking, or walking etc. we go by the October 20th date, and that’s the one I use for the titles. When he gets older and the 7 week difference is irrelevant, we’ll forget about his due date and just go by his birthday!

► Where do you live?
Brooklyn, New York!

► How do you film these videos?
I put a remote control gimbal camera (an Osmo Pocket) on a quick release mount on a swivel mount on a clamp on a gooseneck mount on a light stand and carry it around for the day. It ain’t pretty, but it gets the job done!
