Widespread destruction has been caused by Cyclone Fani across coastal areas of India. People of Odisha, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and other coastal areas in northeast had to bear the brunt of the natural calamity. Cyclone Fani resulted in wind blowing at the speed of around 200kmph in the coastal areas of Odisha. Strong winds resulted in mobile towers and trees being uprooted, temporary roofs being ripped off and transport services coming to a halt.
