In John 17:17, in His prayer to His Almighty God the Father, the holy Son of the holy living God, Yeshua or Jesus Christ, says: thy word is truth.

In speaking of the written word of God, which according to Yeshua, is truth, Paul writes in 2 Timothy 3:16, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

What do the prophets of God have to say about His holy written word?

In 1 Samuel 15:1, we read, Samuel also said unto Saul, The Lord sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the Lord.

In Psalm 33:4, king David, whose heart was perfect with the Lord his God, says, For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth. In Psalm 56:10, he adds, In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word. David praised God and his word. Do you? Are you like Saul who disobeyed the word of the Lord or are you like king David who was moved to obey God and praise His word.

Even the angels of God listen to God’s word. In Psalm 103:20, we read, Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

The term “thy word” in reference to the word of God is mentioned nearly 40 times in Psalms 119, which is dedicated to the law of God, His ten commandments. Overall, in Psalm 119 alone, we read the following attributes about the word of God or “thy word”: it is hidden in our heart; it is not to be forgotten; is to be kept; it strengthens; it is to be trusted; it is settled in heaven; it is sweet; it is a lamp unto our feet; it is a light unto our path; it is hope; it gives light; it is very pure, it is true from the beginning and finally, it shall be spoken of.

Further, the written word of God is a testimony against the false priests and evil leaders who lured ancient Israel away from God through deceits. In Jeremiah 23:36, the holy prophet of God says, And the burden of the Lord shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the Lord of hosts our God.

Are we not witnessing the same today from the lawless, disobedient priests and preachers in the Roman Catholic and 501c3-government registered Protestant and SDA churches who are deceiving their followers with false doctrines, smooth-sounding sermons and by steering them away from the law and prophets of God?

In Mark 8:38, Jesus Christ warns everyone about being ashamed of Him and of His words when He says, Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Jesus Christ, Who is the Light of the world according to John 8:12, also has the words of eternal life according to Peter in John 6:68. In Matthew 24:35, Yeshua or Jesus Christ adds, Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away. The words of God are truth since we are witnessing His end-time prophecies coming to pass in our generation as they are mentioned by Christ in Matthew 24, Luke 21:11, 25 and by His holy prophets in Hosea 4:3, Amos 8:11, Daniel 12:4 and 2 Timothy 3:1-5.

As a Christian, are you ashamed of the words of God? If not, do you read His words on a daily basis through Bible study? Do you put into practice what He says including His holy ten commandments which define His love? Do you search the Scriptures as the Bereans did? Are you hungry and zealous for the word of God as king David and Elijah were?

Sincere faith in Yeshua or Jesus Christ will move you, through the Holy Spirit of Truth, to obey the words of the Lord thy God, whose word is truth as per Christ’s own words in John 17:17. Read and apply His holy written word and obey the Word of God, Yeshua or Jesus Christ. Hearken unto the Lord thy God and observe His holy written word and like Elijah, you will meet your God, Lord, King and Saviour in the air upon His much-anticipated second coming.

May the love, peace and grace of the Most High God be with you in these end times. So be it . Amen.
