Does She Really Talk?

A question we get alot about Ella is her talking more Echolalia ( repeating what she hears) or is it organic conversation? With Autism Echolalia is quite common its actually how she started speaking 2 years ago . She does repeat us alot but she now is able to ask us for pretty much anything she wants effectively and recently we have found her wanting to engage was us in topics that intrerest her. We have all worked so hard on Ella's speech and communication skills and we are unbelievably proud of her and how far she has come!
