The Foxes sit in second place in the Premier League, just eight point behind league leaders Liverpool , and have won their last seven matches in the division, while they have also made it through to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals where they will face struggling Everton later this month. Rodgers has recently been linked with the vacant manager's job at Arsenal , but according to podcast The Transfer Window Leicester will move to double his wages and bonuses to an eye-watering £10m per year in order to convince the Northern Irishman to stay at the King Power Stadium. Rodgers recently dismissed speculation linking him with the Gunners, and when he was asked about the rumours he said: "It's all about happiness and I couldn't be happier. Why would I want to leave Leicester at this moment in time? "My contract is until 2022 and the club haven't said they want to release me from that." It remains to be seen how long any new contract offered to Rodgers would be extended to, but it is looking increasingly likely he could stay at Leicester for some time.
