In this video, Lloyd gives you a really good exercise to help to practise rocking your weight around the blade. It is very important to get used to the feeling of using your rocker on your blade, leaving the weight on one part of your blade severely limits what you can do on the ice. Jumps, spins and turns all use different parts of the blade and knowing how to change the weight is very important.

A common problem associated with an inability to change the weight on the blade is not being able to do backwards to forward 3 turns. Leaving the weight on the front of the blade makes this turn almost impossible, whereas moving it to the back during the turn makes it far easier.
