Will secular state give up control of Hindu temples? | The Newshour Debate On The Newshour Debate with Navika Kumar, 12 years after Narendra Modi pledged to end a historic injustice, Bharatiya Janta Party MP today has introduced a private member's bill in the Lok Sabha seeking to end State control over Hindu institutions including places of worship.
The Demands that he has put forth are as follows:

Demand 1. State shall not control, administer or manage any religious institution.

Demand #2 State shall not frame any law that allows it to control a religious institution.

Demand #3 All communities should be allowed to maintain their religious institutions.

Demand #4 Disallow misappropriation of temples' income in name of secular purposes.

Demand #5 Amend Article 26, prevent any state from usurping any religious institution.
