What do we need to know before Oman vs India match? Is Stimac the right coach?

What do we need to know before Oman vs India match? Is Stimac the right coach? Hello guys, welcome to bltstation or blue tiger’s station. We all want to see India in a FIFA world cup soon and for that to happen, we need to support our indian football team without keeping much expectations.
I have seen many videos on youtube regarding what went wrong in AFG vs IND match, why India could’nt win the match. Now I know that many people are disappointed with the Indian team’s performance. Many of them want the new coach to leave. But these are the same people who also wanted Constantine out. See, Constantine was a different type of coach. When he came to India for the second time he boosted Indian team’s ranking by playing a defensive style. Our previous team depended only on counter attacks and this is not what good teams around the world do. Now, if we look back at our game against Kyrgz Republic during the Asian cup qualifiers, there we were playing very defensive and scored a goal on counter attack. Kyrgz Republic was a better team than India on paper. They were all over us. They had very good opportunities, but they could’nt score goals and eventually they lost. Comparing that with Stimac’s Indian team that played against Afghanistan. In Dushanbe Tajikistan, Afghanistan scored the first goal on a counter. In that game we were dominating them but suddenly they scored through right flank. So this was the same thing that we did to Kyrgz Republic. But one thing that Kyrgz Republic could’nt do was to score against us in that match. Againt Afghanistan, we fought back and scored a goal and that is what matters. Our aim should be to qualify for WC 2026 and not for WC 2022. So chill guys, AIFF has appointed Stimac to change the style of play, to improve our standards and we are under process. So my message to the fans will be to be patient.
Now, talking about the mistakes India made against Afgh.
Firstly, the conditions were not on our side. Temperature may not have mattered much but the artificial turf may have mattered. The header that Chhetri missed may have been due to the hard surface of the turf which makes the ball bounce more. Compared to natural grass, on the artificial turf the ball bounces more and hence sometimes it becomes difficult to judge the ball direction.
Secondly, Stimac may not have rightly used Udanta, Sahal and Ashique. They were kept silent by the afghans. And don’t forget that some of the afghans are not born in agh, they are their foreign origin players who are playing in Europe. We don’t have anyone like that.
Thirdly, thapa should have played instead of Pronoy.
Fourthly, the system is to be blamed. We all know that we don’t have a proper system where our players could play for a full season like they do in Europe. AIFF has now taken steps to merge ISL and I-league, but it is a slow process. Indian players play about 20 matches per year whereas players in Europe and other countries play over 50 matches per year. After knowing this, you should not expect India to qualify to the world cup, but still our coach and players are trying their best. It will take time and our hopes should be to qualify for WC 2026 or 2030. Believe me, if we keep practicing this new style, we will get better at it in one or two years time and at this point we have an experience of playing this style for only 6 month. You can’t expect to reach the WC in 6 months. Its not a joke.
And Stimac is not a magician who can take India to the world cup. He is trying to take India to the next level and we should support the Blue Tigers and give them confidence.
Coming to the game against Oman in their home. It will be a difficult game. Oman’s team is a totally different team than last time. 70% of the players that played against us in Guwahati are not there now.
