Cyclone Bulbul continues to intensify over the warm waters of the Bay of Bengal, with the coasts of West Bengal and Bangladesh possibly receiving a landfall this weekend. Along with hurricane force winds, the storm is likely to deliver in excess of 300mm of rain.
The track of the storm remains somewhat uncertain, with some models calling for the storm to move inland and perish, whilst others are suggesting that Bulbul will never make a full landfall on Bangladesh and turn around just offshore. In both scenarios, impacts are expected to be heavy, and Bulbul is a Stage 4 on the CDPS Scale.
