We're a Ford household so I really like the Ford not just because of the name because the engines strong we have had almost zero problems really with it except for a couple of front end issues and that has to do with rides down three point seven mile dirt road on a regular basis can can be pretty tough on that.
First we do online research you know, use consumer reports, we talk to other people that we know, some of it is our own personal experience I mean after having a farm for over fifteen years and you know being at a certain place of maturity you know you can talk to people about what their experiences are. I think that that's personal recommendations are really important because when you go to a dealer oftentimes you're you feel pressured and so if you could go with the information ahead of time which is what the Internet can do for you and talking to other people then you don't have to worry about being forced into something that you don't want.
We have a mechanic and he's scheduled to do regular oil changes, regular air changes. We don't buy new because we're a farm and you know honestly that's that's something that that's that's a luxury for most people so what we do is we make sure that the car that goes back and forth on a daily basis is the car that we would purchase new. We look at interiors so it needs to hold up it needs to be strong enough like I said I mean our Ford; a bear was in it a number of times last year and the only thing in the upholstery was a small rip from his claw and considering you've seen many you know things that happen with bears our truck held up the interior and the upholstery held up.
We look for you know comfort obviously heated seats are really nice they're super important, can they take my small body and get it close enough to the steering wheel and and to the you know to the interior that I can I can feel comfortable breaking in and accelerating and all of those kinds of things so those are things that we look at.
