✍ How did Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper actually meet? Who knows because a The Big Bang Theory fan has worked out there’s absolutely no way the tale presented to us in the show is possible and we need time to process. Way back in season three, Sheldon recalled meeting his new roommate when Leonard knocked on his door in 2003 and correctly answered the age-old debate: Who is better – Picard or Kirk? Leonard nailed it – Picard over Kirk every day of the week (but original series over Next Generation, obviously) – and, thus, passed Sheldon’s examination, moved into their unconventional bachelor pad and the rest is history. Only, Sheldon mentioned in a later episode, The 21 Second Excitation, that he and Leonard queued for 14 hours to get into the Nemesis premiere, which is weird because Nemesis came out in 2002… A fan highlighted the blunder on Reddit, and was immediately met with: ‘Are you Sheldon?’ Seriously though, are you?
