The Lakers were established in 1947 and since then has housed teams of all-stars, the second most championships of any franchise, and so many points.
In the 40's and 50's George Mikan and Vern Mikkelsen led the charge in scoring.
The 60's showcase the logo Jerry West and Elgin Baylor as they take scoring to new heights.
Jerry West, the logo had the most points out of any Laker, even able to outlast Kareem 'the Dream' Abdul-Jabbar. Even though Kareem is the all-time leader in NBA history for scoring points, he played 6 seasons in Milwaukee before finishing his career in L.A.
Magic Johnson, James Worthy almost are able to catch up to Baylor in the 1980's into the early 90's (for Magic).
Not much happens towards the leader board until Kobe Byrant and Shaquille O'Neal 3 peat and dominate the NBA. Kobe stays with the Lakers, while Shaq moves on to the Heat with Wade. Shaq leaving the Lakers leaves Kobe to take over the all-time scoring in L.A. Laker's history.
