Nanuet deserves better! Nanuet was split up in the last redistricting of the Rockland County Legislature in such a manner that it became secondary geography to different districts instead of the centerpiece of one. The net result is that Nanuet as a whole has a marginalized voice in terms of representation in county government.
In the video below, District 14 Legislator Aney Paul and District 9 Legislator Christopher Carey, who both represent parts of Nanuet, explain the importance of the upcoming redistricting which will take place after the 2020 census.
We think it’s very clear that one of the legislators, Christopher Carey, has an excellent grasp of what’s at stake- and who has our best interests at heart. As for Aney Paul, let us just say that we’re impressed she bothered to show up for the meeting.
