TRADE WAR IMPACTS U.S. FEMALE CONSUMERS AS RETAIL STORES INCREASE PRICE OF GOODS United States female consumers have warned against further trade tariffs on Chinese imports as that would pass the burden to them. Clothing and shoes are among other items facing additional 15 percent tariff increases when imported from China. According to an analysis by the Wall Street Journal, 42 percent of girls and women’s shoes and clothing were imported from China. For men and boys, it was only 26 percent.
