Proposed changes to Singapore's religious harmony law to guard against foreign influence Religious organisations with foreign links, or which received large donations, might soon face higher standards of accountability in Singapore. Singapore was seeking to ramp up safeguards against foreign interference with proposed amendments to the Maintenance of Religious Harmony Act. If passed, the Home Affairs Ministry would also be able to take quicker action against those who disrupted religious harmony.
