Peace Day: Environmental Protection Requisite For Sustaining Peace....IPCR

The need for state governments to ensure environmental protection as a tool for sustainable peace has been advocated by the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution.

The call was made in Abuja at the celebration of the 2019 International Day of Peace.

This year's celebration which has as it's theme, Climate change for peace had in attendance stakeholders from the civil society organisations and groups who stressed the importance of environmental safety as a necessary tool to guard against conflicts and strife.



The 21st day of September every year has been declared international day of peace by the United Nations to strengthen the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples.
