Ppl who know me well know that i always felt annoyed how the score of FE2 sounds on modern machines, i always felt the synth pad and tinkle bell sounds wrong. Last year i discovered a nice DOS proggy on VOGONS - the PX player, it plays back MIDI using the various Miles sound drivers (AIL2). For it i found a rare driver used i.e. for SImCity Classic, it's designed for the Roland LAPC-I and uses a different instrument set as any of the other drivers. Using this old driver the score sounds quite different but not really satisfying. I grabbed MIDIPLEX a simple sequencer / MIDI format interchanger and worked on some MIDI files. This year i downloaded Anvil studio to have more control over the instruments used and i quickly edited today the intro for FE2. Personally i feel it sounds far better using only orchestra and no synthetic sounds. I changed the syn
