Dozens of schools have closed across Malaysia as smoke-filled haze blankets much of the country. Malaysia says the haze is caused by slash and burn land clearing in neighboring Indonesia. But Indonesia says Malaysian plantation companies and fires closer to home are at least partly to blame. Some people are seeing the occurrence of haze as a failure of the ASEAN.
