Ruptly is live from Hong Kong on Saturday, August 17, as an anti-violence rally takes place at Admiralty’s Tamar Park.
According to the organisers, the rally aims to “stop the chaos, destruction” and to “put the society back on track.”
Since the beginning of March, demonstrations against a government-proposed legislative amendment on extradition have taken place in Hong Kong. The discontent then grew into a variety of grievances. Some of these protests have turned violent.
