Let's be honest, family vacations are hard, tiring, stressful, and usually pretty expensive! So why do we still do them? Why do we go through the effort the expense and the madness that goes into pulling off a successful family vacation with a big family traveling with kids family travel? For us it's simple... we do it for the smiles, for the memories, for the relationships and bonds and really above all we do it out of an immense love for our kids. Being 100% real with you all, this one has been harder than some in the past. The kids haven't always gotten along. The hand holding, sibling comforting moments have been fewer and further between. There's been stress, bad moods, fighting, arguing, short tempers, pinching, scratching, screaming, and pretty much everything you might expect from a normal family vacation. But through it all there are moments that make it all worth it. Today that moment was when the kids got into the ocean in the warm Caribbean Sea and jumped into their first ocean wave. Their faces lit up, they looked around at each other in amazement, they screamed in excitement, they jumped up and down, and the look in their eyes reminded us that this is why we go through the stress, bad sleep, crazy schedule, expensive everything, and hard work. To see those smiles and realize we are creating incredible childhood memories together as a family!
