» Makassar Street Food Tour
1. JALAN SABUTUNG: Kampo + Squid + Sambal

🐟KAMPO: Cut & clean the fish. Place on open grill until cooked. Served with steamed rice & sambal.
🦑SQUID: Cut & clean the squid. Place on open grill until cooked. Served with steamed rice and sambal.
🇮🇩SAMBAL: Peanut sambal: mash peanuts into a paste & mix with chilies & garlic. Onion sambal: mix tamarind, sweet soy sauce, onions, garlic, vegetable oil, pepper & salt and fry in oil. Mango sambal: Mix shaved young mango, carrot, parsley. Dabu-Dabu sambal: mix tomatoes, onion & salt. Leave in the water from the tomatoes & add parsley.

🍲KAPURUNG CAMPUR: In a pot, mix corn, green beans, ground peanuts, salt & msg. Add eggplant, banana heart and celery. In a separate pot, bring water to a boil, add spinach and green beans and continue to boil. Pour the ingredients from the first pot into the water with boiled green beans & spinach and mix all together. Add lime. Soup - In a bowl, add papeda balls. Pour the boiled vegetable broth over the papeda balls. Top off with dried chicken and fresh shrimp

Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but currently call Vietnam home. I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences.
