We're constantly surrounded by sound that is incredibly informed. Many don't realize how open-ended and daunting it can be to design a sound from scratch from a conceptual point of view. It can be very difficult to determine how something "should" sound - especially if it's an ability in a game. Today I'll walk through my analysis and thought process when creating sounds for ability animations.
We'll focus on a slash attack, a bullet impact, and a healing spell. All animations will be from the card combat game, Card Chronicles: Sentinels!
