Bloomberg: Likelihood of U.S. economic recession increases The likelihood of the U.S. entering an economic recession in the next 12 months has increased. That's according to Bloomberg News. An August survey with economists shows that the chance of this happening is now 35 percent, up from 31 percent. This came as U.S. President Donald Trump threatened an additional 10-percent tariff on the remaining 300 billion U.S. dollars' worth of Chinese imports. Meanwhile, bilateral investments have fallen sharply. CGTN spoke to Stephen Orlins, President of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, on this issue.
