I missed pouring on a white background! I decided to try something new this time to create a delicate painting with softer colors. I bought a high quality latex interior paint that I diluted more than usual for the web/injection technique and around the puddle. It's hard to move the paint around on the canvas since the background and the puddle aren't of the same consistency! I had to tilt really slowly to keep the pattern... Since the fluid acrylics were more concentrated, they bled into the diluted white paint creating the vein branching effect. I'll create a whole new series with this style! The drops I added with a paint brush are pure Milk Paint (FolkArt). I then sprayed some water so they would blend more with the rest of the painting, creating at the same time little dentrite fractals.
White paint mix: -1 part of Dulux Diamond white paint (interior acrylic latex paint) -1 part of floetrol -Water until the consistency is more fluid than the colors.
All the fluid acrylics are mixed with floetrol 1:2, and a little bit of water. I mix my own colors so I can't tell you their names.
