When you have a custom size that you're in need of with specified tolerances, we have very manageable order minimums, anywhere from five to 10 pounds up to 50 pounds depending on the temper, thickness, and width. However, if you're prototyping, or you're looking to try to experiment with some material, we're more than happy to work with you on as-is sizes and do more of a custom-size blank or strip of material to help you qualify your tooling or to dial in your specs more appropriately. Mead's sleeting capabilities allows us to take very little trim, and so therefore, we salvage almost all of our end cuts or remnants off of a master coil. Anything as narrow as a half-inch wide is gonna go back in our inventory, so just because you have something that you might consider a small quantity, that might be just the right size for Mead Metals. Our low minimum order quantity policy is very beneficial for a number of customers. It might not apply to somebody who's producing thousands of thousands of large parts. It doesn't pertain to them. However, if you're prototyping, if you're an artist, if you're in an R&D capacity, sometimes, you just need a little bit of material to try things out, and to have a budget-friendly price available to you, to have Mead willing to ship it out via UPS or even U.S. Mail as opposed to insisting upon material going on a over-the-road freight carrier, minimizes your expense, minimizes your cost, and allows you to qualify your products before you make a large purchase commitment. It's sometimes hard to differentiate between what does the customer need, and what are they asking us if we can provide? And so trying to clarify and ask those open-ended questions to say, how much are you needing, what are you using it for, what type of equipment are you gonna run this on, we have a better understanding of what we can offer. Does it have to be in coil form, which has extra overhead costs associated? Or can we run strips off a coil that already exists in our inventory? We lower our overhead, all of a sudden, you get a better price point.
