Men: BMR = 88.362 + (13.397 x weight in kg) + (4.799 x height in cm) - (5.677 x age in years)

Women: BMR = 447.593 + (9.247 x weight in kg) + (3.098 x height in cm) - (4.330 x age in years).


To determine your total daily calorie needs,

If you are sedentary (little or no exercise) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.1

Light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.275

Moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/week : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.35

Hard exercise/sports 6-7 days a week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.525
