Best Cassava Processing Method (A-Z)

Best Cassava Processing Method (A-Z) Best Cassava Processing Method as shown in this video is an A-Z cassava farming, cassava flour, and garri processing techniques practiced in Nigeria.

We covered the current and relevant steps involved in Cassava planting, cassava farming, cassava peeling, Cassava farm weeding, cassava stem and cassava bud methods.

In addition, we walked into a newly planted cassava farm as well as a mature cassava farm ready for harvesting. Thereafter, we showed uprooted or harvested cassava tuber, and the methods of peeling, washing, and preparing it for further processing.

The video also showed a cassava grinding machine doing the actual cassava grinding. Then, the grinded cassava was pressed with a manual cassava presser to separate cassava starch from the water. All of these activities happened on the first day.

On day two, at about 24 hours after grinding it, the cassava was set for further processing. Thus, it was filtered and fire was set in a locally made oven to commence the gari frying activity manually since we do not have a gari frying machine available at the moment.

After about five hours, the cassava became fully processed into what is locally called garri or cassava flake. These cassava flakes are mainly used for food.
