Crafting a stitching pony for use in leather briefcase construction

I got frustrated with the length of stitching I could do with my existing stitching ponies, so I made a new one with a 9 inch run. I upcycled wood left over from an Ikea kid's bed that we recently replaced. I already had the hinge and the carriage bolt and nut, so this was a completely free project, except for the time involved.
