Remembering the glorious history of North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council, the 68th Foundation Day of N C Hills Autonomous Council was observed at District library auditorium, Haflong in a befitting manner on Monday. Day’s programe started with the felicitation of guests followed by opening song and welcome speech by Mukut Kemprai, Principal Secretary, (N).
The programme was attended by Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council as the chief guest accompanied by Ranu Langthasa, Chairperson, Nandita Gorlosa, Nipolal Hojai, Biswajit Daolagupu, Ems, MACs, Amitabh Rajkhowa, Deputy Commissioner, Srejeeth T, Superintendent of Police etc. as the guests of honour. Rupok Mazumdar, IAS, Principal Secretary and other officials of NCHAC were the hosts.
Achievers of UPSC and Ph D of Dima Hasao were also felicitated by the CEM and distinguished guests.
Speaking on the occasion speakers like ST Jem Hrankhol, Ranu Langthasa, Amitabh Rajkhowa, Deputy Commissioner, Srejeeth T, Superintendent of Police appreciating the efforts of present NCHAC appealed to all to come forward and extend their helping in making the district of Dima Hasao a peaceful and developed district of the state. SP in his speech requested the Mouzaders and Gaon Buras to maintain relation with law and order as well with the NCHAC. He further requested to set up study centre at Haflong for the aspirants of competitive exams including UPSC.
Mouzader of Diyungbra expressing his satisfaction over the achievements of students during the tenure of present and hoped that in future more and more success would be achieved if all of us work together work for the betterment of the district.
Rupok Mazumder in his speech offered his heartfelt gratitude to the guests and all the Mouzaders and GBs along with the media persons present in the function and hoped that in near future the district of Dima Hasao would reach a new height of development with the cooperation of the people of the district.
