Punching Combinations: The #4.  Move from outside to inside. In this video I show the #4 combination as well as how to practice it on the heavy bag. The #4 uses jab, cross, jab, cross to bring us inside. This is for “walking down” an opponent. We want to punch high so the opponent is forced to raise his hands to block, thus occupying them and preventing him from punching back. The key point is that our feet must step with each punch to close distance. After executing this combination we can select our next position, head on one side or the other.
